Individual Support Options

Home-based support services

This is a self-directed program model that allows individuals and families to tailor services specific to their own needs and desires.  Individuals will have an array of services to create their own individual support programs. 

The Illinois State system is currently limited in its acceptance of Individual Support Options.  Under its Home-based model, funding and access are restricted due to funding constraints. 

Statewide, efforts are underway to expand the Home-based/Individual Support Options model and to possibly make this the predominant funding mechanism for future programs.
