Participant Information-Golf/Tennis Event Date:  Monday, July 21st, 2008

The AVENUES Classic day begins at 10:30 a.m., at the Park Ridge Country Club, 636 N. Prospect, Park Ridge , Illinois ,  60068, 847-823-3101.  Players may take a brief tour to become familiar with the Country Club’s amenities, locate locker room assignments, utilize the practice green and driving range and meet the many people who help make the Classic a success.

At 11:15 a.m., the dining room opens for a buffet style lunch, with full beverage service.  There are no reserved seating arrangements, so service is first-come, first-served and space is at a premium between 11:45-12:15.  Be aware that the golfers’ shot-gun start is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.; tennis begins at 2:00; so plan your lunch accordingly.

All participants should register at the table in front of the pro shop.  You will be given foursome, tennis and other needed information.  You will be directed to a locker room attendant who will show you to your assigned location.  Golf participants should drop off their equipment at the caddy station and it will be placed in the cart assigned to your starting tee.  As indicated on your reservation, you will either be part of a reserved foursome or be assigned to one and given a starting tee.

Prior to the shotgun start, please check to ensure your bag has been located with the carts assigned to your starting tee.  All golf participants should be ready to leave by 12:55.

This year's event is a scramble tournament.  Trophies will be provided for low foursomes.  Additional prizes for closest to the pin, longest putt and men and ladies longest drive will also be given.

A $10 game-of-chance will take place on the par 3, hole #12, with opportunities to win prizes for shots in the water, on the green, and in the circle.  Hole-in-one prizes will be given to the first hole-in-one at designated par 3 holes on the course.  Past prizes have included:  cars and car leases, golf equipment and vacation trips.

The tennis game is an individual round robin no elimination tournament, with prizes for best men and women’s singles and teams, depending upon the final configuration of all participants.  An exhibition of match play will take place between sets.

Refreshments will be served on the tennis courts, in beverage carts and at the Halfway House and Shelter.  Cocktail hour will begin around 5:30 p.m..  Hors-doerves and drinks will be available as participants finish their games and dinner guests begin to arrive.

Dinner will begin at 7:00 p.m.  All seating will be pre-arranged, with reservations located on the table adjacent to the main dining room entrance.

The dinner and awards ceremony should be completed around 9:00 p.m.  Lunch, tennis or golf, refreshments, cocktails, and dinner are included in the tennis reservation of $200 or single golf reservation of $475.  Separate dinner and cocktails only reservations are available at $95.00.
